Inspiration for Catch The Fair one:

“Through a friend’s boxing gym I found Kali [Reis, main actress of CTFO]. I started to follow her, I started to watch her. It’s one of those things where you just start watching a lot of videos because you just want to see how people do stuff. But then what was really dope to me about her was she used her platform to speak out on things that she really believed in: her motto “fight for all nations,” and what she did for her community, and being this mixed indigenous warrior using her platform. I thought “There is something about this person, I’ve got to meet her.” I was just starting to learn and research about the MMIW crisis in North America. It was becoming more and more prevalent in the news, and I had ideas of a film germinating around it and I knew it was something that she really cared about.” — Josef Wladyka
